I am starting a wedding cake business, which would also include fake cake rental (or purchase) services. Although, I have done all the research I need to start the business, I am having problems in how to market my services. What kind of resources can I use to get my first client? Thank you in advance.

There are a lot of options...
Networking, both offline and online is huge! Participate on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook. And research local networking events and groups. Do you have a website? a Blog? For wedding service, I am sure some of the bridal fairs and events would be great places for you to attend / work. Also try and connect with other wedding vendors - you can send referrals to them and vice versa.
